After completing undergraduate degrees in Physics, Chemistry and Social Scienes, and a Master’s degree in English Rhetoric/Composition; Rene attended Law School to help fight for justice in the murder of her daughter, because being a young immigrant, no one would take the case on seriously or even wanted to do more than just close the issue as  a possible case of S.I.D.S. related injuries.  After successfully gaining the closure of this issue, Rene realized that since age six, she found great solace and refuge in expressing herself through poerty and playing her violin.  When Rene would find her life as a ethnically mixed child too difficult to bear, she would write poetry or songs. When struggling with the new world and the new people around her,Rene would write more poetry and more songs.
